Birkenhead really is a quiet but swirling hotbed for eateries such as this. Balti in the native language means bucket, so the place is called Ruhi bucket, Ruhi presumably being a name.
The restaurant does serve good food, but despite the fact that the menu is fairly broad it lacks imagination with your bog standard 'English Indian' dishes (yawn)
The service is very good with helpful staff happy to make recommendations. The option of being able to bring your own booze is a double edged sword, while it is great it can attract a certain crowd which you might not be keen on sharing your dining experience with.
God bless bog standard curry houses eh? You know what you're getting and while it might not be gourmet, it will definitely be appetizing enough. -

Two stars and that just because the staff were friendly. 50 minutes wait for starter as they hadn't put it through. Twenty minute wait for a drink which had to be chased up and then charged us for it twice. Starter was awful as couldn't cut the meat. Salad was nice. Not worth the money.

!!!I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!!
Its *Mega* cheap as you can take your own beer in, and with the "corner shop" open till 11 at the top of the road, you can get 24 pint cans (500ml) for £10. The food is around £7, for rice/chips and a curry, which is really delicious, ideal for group nights as you can make as much noise as you want :) waiters are helpfull, however you can get tossers in there!!!!!!!!! -

The food here is absolutely delicious, but unfortunately the parking isn't great on certain days of the week, due to it all being on the street and a residential area.

Newly refurbished, lovely atmosphere and a warm welcome everytime! My boyfriend and I like to go because you can take your own drinks! The menu is really easy to get your head around with a wide selection of Indian food, and also English food too. It is open late so its good if you're going elsewhere afterwards. The staff are very attentive and are always happy to help. The prices are so cheap you wouldn't believe! We often find we are eating out for under £20 for both of us. Great location easy to get to and parking right outside the door.
